Meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month in the Wilson House at
The First Baptist Church, 456 North Street in White Plains, NY from September through June. The meeting starts at 12:15 PM but members can arrive as early as 10:30 AM to share social time, sit and sew and lunch with other members. Programs include both expert lecturers and hands-on activities, as well as a "show and tell" of members' latest quilts.
The Guild sponsors a number of Outreach Programs. "Cuddle Quilts" donates baby quilts made by members to needy babies and children in local facilities. "Bedford Babies," a prison outreach program, consists of a group of members who regularly visit Bedford Hills Correctional Facility to teach quilting to inmates with babies. "Friendship Quilts" contributes lap quilts to adults in hospices and nursing homes.
Our biennial Quilt Show, held in even years at the beginning of November, is wonderful arena to display the versatility and beauty of our member's work. In addition to the quilt display, vendors and a boutique, a raffle quilt is made by members and a local charity is chosen as beneficiary of a portion of the proceeds.
