This show is the second one in which the Village Squares Quilters has mounted a display of work by young quilters (under 16 years of age). Quilts in this display were made either by the children of members or the sewing students of members. Several of us are happily involved in teaching sewing to children, some as young as seven. It's great fun to see their confidence and competence increase as they, too, become seduced by the lure of needle and thread.

This display helps remind us all of the pleasure of sharing a passion and passing on a beloved skill. We delight in their enthusiasm and in their many accomplishments and are eager to welcome them into our guild as full-fledged members when they are ready.
