Remember our Summer 2007 Project?

At our March 2009 VSQ member meeting, Susan Wolman presented a T-shirt to Mitchell Blank (with the Summer 2007 Project photo emblazoned on it) as a thank you for all the wonderful quilt fabrics he has donated to VSQ for our Outreach projects.

In addition, Susan presented a check to Dawn Ewing, Executive Director, Morry's Camp. The check represents a portion of the proceeds of the Raffle Quilt that is given after each VSQ Quilt Show.

Thanks to Mitchell Blank

A major part of our guild's life is our outreach program. With dues and fundraising from our biennial show we buy supplies and, of course, also accept individual donations. In 2006 our collective "fabric stash" swelled enormously, thanks to a gift from Mr. Mitchell Blank, the owner of Blank Textiles. He has generously donated many, many yards of top quality fabric to help us continue our work, a kindness for which we are truly grateful. And we are not the only recipients of his open-heartedness - log onto BlankQuilting.com to learn about his company's help in the fight against ovarian cancer.
