Teen For Teen Summer Project

For three consecutive weeks in July, five of our members and a volunteer
from Project Linus participated in a teaching-cum-charity project,
organized in conjunction with White Plains Youth Bureau's Club Excel.
The goal of this outreach project, named Teens for Teens, was to impart
the joys and art of quilt making to teenagers, as well as to inspire
in them a sense of community and generosity. Our members taught sixteen
middle school teens fabric stamping and painting techniques as well as
basic sewing skills and quilting during a three-week program at the
Ridgeway Elementary School in White Plains.
